Ain't That Some Shhh...
The first single from Cee-Lo Green's album "The Lady Killer".
The original version has 'fuck you' instead of 'forget you' (edited for radio, obviously). After listening to both a couple of times, I noticed that the 'forget you' version has a feeling of bitter pride after overcoming shallow rejection. The 'fuck you' version doesn't give us that feeling of disappointment as much as it spits bitter immaturity. Telling the heart-breaker that he'll forget her carries more poignancy. Telling her to fuck off makes me think Cee-Lo didn't deserver her in the first place...not with that attitude, at any rate.
