This blog is dedicated to Major-General Stanley from Gilbert and Sullivan's "Pirates of Penzance"- a cultured man of military power and societal worth whose education seems to come at the expense of any truly useful knowledge.
As we continue to evolve in a world where we all become more informed but less educated, may the best of us never end up like the good General.

Friedman on Socialism v. Capitalism
The sad thing is I doubt Friedman convinced Donahue.
That man is brilliant. I really need to get some of his books.
